Aido ("we", "our", or "the App") is an AI writing assistant application developed by Rubex. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Aido mobile application.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Text Prompts: When you use Aido to generate AI text, the prompt you type is sent to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Groq) for processing
  • API Keys: If you choose to use your own AI provider API keys ("Bring Your Own Key"), they are stored encrypted on your device only
  • Settings & Preferences: Your app configuration (disabled apps, custom prompts, shortcuts) is stored locally

2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do NOT collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
  • We do NOT log your text prompts on our servers
  • We do NOT collect device identifiers for tracking purposes
  • We do NOT use analytics or advertising SDKs
  • We do NOT access your contacts, photos, location, or files without explicit action

3. How We Use Your Information

The data you provide is used solely for:

  • AI Text Generation: Your prompts are sent to AI providers to generate responses
  • App Functionality: Settings and preferences enable features like app blacklisting and custom shortcuts
  • Local Storage: Clipboard history and saved prompts are stored on your device for convenience

We do NOT:

  • Sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
  • Use your prompts for training our own AI models
  • Create user profiles or track your behavior across apps

4. Third-Party Services

Aido integrates with the following third-party services:

4.1 AI Providers

Data Sent: Only your text prompts. No device information, metadata, or identifiers.

4.2 No Analytics or Advertising

Aido does NOT include:

  • Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
  • Facebook SDK or Meta Pixel
  • AdMob or any advertising networks
  • Crashlytics or third-party crash reporting

5. Data Storage & Security

5.1 Local Storage

All user data is stored locally on your device using:

  • Encrypted SharedPreferences: For API keys (AES-256 encryption)
  • Room Database: For saved prompts and settings
  • SQLite Database: For clipboard history (encrypted)

5.2 Data Protection

  • All API communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Sensitive data is encrypted at rest on your device
  • No data is transmitted to Aido's own servers

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Right How to Exercise
Right to Access All data is stored on your device. You can view it in the app settings or by exporting your data.
Right to Deletion Uninstall the app. All local data is immediately erased. No server-side data exists to delete.
Right to Portability Export your saved prompts and settings via app settings (if feature available).
Right to Object Disable specific features or revoke permissions in Android settings.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Aido is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used Aido, please contact us immediately.

8. Data Retention

Local Data: Retained until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

Server Data: We do not store your prompts or usage data on our servers. AI provider data retention policies apply to text sent to their APIs.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via Play Store release notes.

10. International Users

Aido is available globally. If you use AI providers based outside your country, your data may be processed in their jurisdictions (e.g., US servers for OpenAI). Review each AI provider's privacy policy for details.
